Terms and Conditions

‘Club’ means Jacob Burns Pty Ltd. trading as JB 6 A-SIDE.

‘Child’ means child or ward (whichever is applicable).

‘Member’ means the parents or guardians of a Player.

‘Player’ means a child of a financial member who is registered with the Club.

‘Policies’ means the policies published by the Club on its web site and as amended from time to time.

By registering with JB 6 A-SIDE, I acknowledge that participating in football activities—including playing, observing, learning, training, and related events—involves inherent risks. I accept that participation is entirely at the individual’s own risk.

I agree, on behalf of myself and the Participant (if different), to waive and release the Club and its office bearers, officials, coaches, managers, referees, members, players, agents, and volunteers from any liability for injury, damage, or loss—however caused—arising from participation in Club activities. This includes negligence or breach of duty, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

I understand that nothing in this agreement limits any rights under Australian law that cannot be excluded. If any part of this agreement is found to be invalid or unenforceable, it will be severed, and the remainder will remain effective.

I confirm that I have read and agree to abide by the Club’s Policies, rules, by-laws, and code of conduct, as published on the JB 6 A-SIDE website and amended from time to time. I understand that failure to comply may result in the deregistration of the Participant or termination of membership at the sole discretion of the Club.

I authorise JB 6 A-SIDE to upload the Member’s email address to a communications platform (such as Mailchimp or equivalent) to receive Club updates. I grant permission for electronic or printed images or video of the Participant to be used in Club-related promotions, publications, or online platforms. I also authorise the Club to release relevant contact details to a team manager for team communications.

JB 6 A-SIDE reserves the right to exclude any team or player from the competition for serious misconduct or for breaching competition rules. The Club does not provide personal injury insurance for players or participants; all involvement in the competition is at the individual’s own risk.

JB 6 A-SIDE also reserves the right to change the location of any scheduled match, or the entire competition, if the original venue becomes unavailable due to council decisions, weather conditions, maintenance, or other unforeseen circumstances. While every effort will be made to provide advance notice and minimise disruption, the Club cannot guarantee use of the original venue for the duration of the season.
